The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks September 23, 2011 I starting reading this book yesterday and it is one of my favorite movies. I definitely love romance books and/or movies, so this book caught my eye. What I'm learning about this book is that it is a love story between two teenagers that fall in love one summer but things change and they grow up still knowing there's still a place in both of their hearts for one another. Where I'm at now in the book is where Allison shows up at Noah's house, they see each other and they are speechless. I can tell this part of the book is going to change the whole story because I have a feeling that her "visit" there is going to bring back so many memories of what they shared years ago. I noticed that the book is different from the movie because of some of the parts and people in the book are not the same that are in the film but I'm still interested in finding out what the rest of the book has in store from me even though I already know how the love story goes.
September 26, 201The things I've been noticing are that Allie and Noah still have feelings for each other. They are just afraid to talk about it. Since Allie is engaged to Lon, she's feeling guilty because Noah keeps bringing him up and it's just making things harder for her. Neither Noah or Allie really know why she showed up at his house. But for the most part they are having a good time talking about the summer they sharedtogether. The things I've been wondering are if they are going to get back together by the end of the book, because I already know what happens in the movie.Another thing is what's going to happen the night that they have dinner. If Allies going to stay there or not. Also if Allie is going to end up leaving Lon for Noah in the book because obviously the book and the movie is different so these are all things I'm in curious about. What if Allie stays with Noah, what will happen to Lon? What will her parents think of Allie is she called the engagement off? What if Allie decides to not to be with Noah, will they forget about each other then? I'm anxious to see what's going to happen since I've never read the book before. September 30, 2011The things I've noticed since I last blogged is that Allie and Noah are definitely falling in love all over again. It's something they have that Allie and Lon do not and Allie is realizing that. I'm starting to realize she feels something different for Noah than she does for Lon. That's good for Noah but not for Lon. Lon has been calling and calling the hotel she has been staying at and Allie hasn't been there so it's making him worry. She has been told that he has called four times since she's been there but she told the manager to tell him she went out shopping. She doesn't want to talk to him because she doesn't want him to ruin her time. The things I wonder about is if Allie is going to call Lon and explain to him about what is happening or is she just going to ignore him until she goes back. Also, I wonder, is Lon going to leave her when she tells him? What if Lon leaves her because he already has a clue what she is doing, that's why he has been calling her. If he leaves her, what if she doesn't get back with Noah because she feels guilty about what she has done. Then what happens? What if Lon asks Allie about her weekend just to see if she will tell him or not and she doesn't tell him because she's trying to ignore all her feelings she had for Noah during the time she had spent with him.
October 7, 2011What I noticed about the rest of the book was when Allie spent the next night with Noah something bad was probably going to happen and I was right because the next morning they were making breakfast and the next thing you know is Allies mother was knocking on the door. She came to tell Allie that Lon was in town looking for her because he knows what she has been up to. I wondered what Allie was thinking when she heard that and what she was going to do about it. Her mom kept telling her it's her decision and when her mother left Allie thought she heard her say "Follow your heart" but she wasn't quite sure so I was curious on who she was going to choose in the book because I already know how the movie turned out. What if she chose to stay with Lon, what would the story have been if it ended up like that. But she stayed with Noah and they lived happily ever after with each other.
